Corner Country 2016

The time has come to pack up and head off on another adventure.

Today Russell, Princess Fiona, Bloom & Flora have set off on again and we are joined by Reda, Mrs. Reda, Jack, Roadtrain & Rose.

This adventure is taking place in Corner Country where we will hopefully tackle the Strzelecki Track, a bit of the Birdsville and cross the Simpson Desert from East to West. Weather permitting.

Unfortunately Chuck was unable to come along, however to keep him involved with the trip we have swapped our caravan for Chuck's Outback Sturt Camper trailer (will try to look after it!)

Chuck is on rescue duty for spare part delivery or recovery and I quietly think he is hoping he gets an SOS call from us.

The Patrol

For this trip their have been some modifications/upgrades to the trusty GU Patrol. These include:

• Ironman 4x4 Springs with foam cell shockers and 50mm lift
• Safari Snorkel
• GME TX 80 Channel UHF Radio
• Kings Awning
• Ironman rear bag
• Upgrade to electrics for all our charging requirements
• New recovery gear

We will be running the Hema Navigator - HN6 - to help guide us through the area.

Now the wife knows what I have been spending money on.

The Hotel on Wheels

Our accommodation for the next three weeks is a 2004 Outback Sturt Camper Trailer - kindly donated by Chuck.

Bloom and Flora will be sleeping in ARB Dome Swags - this will certainly be an experience for them.
